Marsello Avilez is a distinguished classical guitarist, composer, and cultural manager with over 24 years of dedication to music. Holding a Degree in Music Specializing in Classical Guitar, Marsello performs on six- and ten-string guitars, blending technical precision with expressive, audience-focused artistry.
Marsello’s passion began early, leading him to composition and the ten-string guitar. At 22, he wrote a suite dedicated to the Mapuche people, reflecting a deep connection to cultural heritage. Family and tradition inspire works such as Don’t Forget Me, Dan, and the Suite: Water, Wind, Earth. His discography, Contemporary Virtue, features Tárrega, Albéniz, Villa-Lobos, and Turina alongside his own pieces.
Marsello Avilez has performed internationally in concert halls, municipal theaters, and music festivals throughout South America, North America, and Asia, with appearances in Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Canada, and Japan. His artistic journey includes performances at distinguished events such as the Entrecuerdas International Festival (2006–2010), Paraguay String Festival (2020), and Colombian Guitar Festival (2022). A notable career milestone was his 2022 performance at the National Museum of Colombia, reinforcing his international presence as a classical guitarist and cultural artist.
Marsello Avilez’s artistic vision integrates performance, education, and cultural leadership as interconnected elements of musical practice. With more than 18 years of experience as an educator and cultural manager, he has dedicated his work to fostering artistic growth, meaningful learning experiences, and community engagement. Through teaching, mentorship, and cultural initiatives, he continues to inspire musicians and audiences while contributing to the development and accessibility of musical culture.
